How not to drive your powerful supercar!

It always sickens and saddens me to see activity like this happening on the public streets.

Why the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is fast

This video was uploaded and shared publicly of an unknown driver demonstrating his knowledge of car control skills in a Lamborghini Huracan Performante. If you didn’t already know, this is a 5.2 Litre V10 engined Supercar developing 631 hp.

This supercar is a track oriented variant of the model which has been lightened in weight by 40kg with extensive use of carbon fibre and forged aluminium. It also has an adjustable carbon fibre rear wing added to increase downforce.

The all new aero components on the Lamborghini Huracan Performante have active aerodynamic capability and designed to help keep the car stable at ‘High Speeds’.

The Huracan Performante is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.9 seconds. With a theoretical top speed of 351 km/h (218 mph) this supercar has set one of the fastest lap times around the famous and challenging Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany.

Move your ego from the road to the track

So, if you do have too much testosterone running through your body and need to prove how good your driving skills are, and how fast the car can go, why don’t you simply take the car to a race circuit? This is the safest place to achieve the thrill of speed where there are no, trees, parked cars, bus stops or pedestrians you can injure, or worse!

Owning a car such as this, in my opinion is a lethal weapon in untrained hands. You don’t have to prove how fast it is as this has already been achieved by the experts. However, you do have to know how to drive it and understand the car’s characteristics and behaviour. In addition you also need to learn where YOUR level of driving skill and competency lies.

No matter how much carbon fibre, horsepower, type of tyre or generated downforce your car possesses, one huge factor still remains.

The laws of physics will quickly surpass your driving skill and that’s when things go horribly wrong!

Driving these supercars like the Lamborghini Huracan Performante should be a pleasure that you not only enjoy, but live to tell the tale too!

Contact me to find out how you can really find out how fast you and your car can go, all in the safe but very fast environment of a well run professional race track.

Film of a Ferrari 275 GTB driving amazingly fast through the streets of Paris

Driving fast in any city is dangerous and we DO NOT condone it

Rumour has it that in August 1976, the French film director Claude Lelouch adapted a gyroscopically stabilized camera in the front of a Ferrari 275 GTB and invited a friend who was a professional Formula 1 driver, to make a trip in the heart of Paris, at the highest speed he could. The plan was to film the whole journey in one take. Read more
